The GE Fanuc IC693PWR322 is a standard power supply. This power supply is a 30 watt power supply and requires an input power supply voltage of 24 to 48 VDC. This power supply has three (3) outputs, e.g. +5VDC; +24VDC isolation and +24VDC relay output.

Each power output has a specific function. The +5VDC output is used for the backplane power supply, while the +24 VDC relay power supply is used to provide the output power to the circuits on the 90-30 series relay modules. The +24VDC isolation is used by some modules connected to the 90-30 backplane and also provides external power to the 24VDC 90-30 input module.

The IC693PWR322 power supply has four (4) status indicators, such as PWR LED, OK LED, RUN LED and BATT LED. It also has one (1) RS485 communication port, which is a 9-pin sub-D connector. This port allows connection to programming workstations, GE Fanuc handheld programming, and other devices compatible with the RS485 communications standard.

The power module’s overvoltage protection is limited to 6.4 to 7 V (5VDC output) and 4 A overcurrent protection (for 5VDC output). This standard power supply has a hold time of 14 milliseconds.

The IC693PWR322 standard power supply is designed to withstand a maximum surge current of 4A for 100 milliseconds. Its input power is required to be 50 watts, maximum during full load use. The power supply also hosts a RAM battery. This ram battery is used to retain the RAM content. This battery can be replaced with an IC693ACC301.

The IC693PWR322 module comes with an input overvoltage protection device that is connected to pin 4 inside the terminal board. This pin is usually connected to pin 3 using a jumper tape. The IC693PWR322 module comes with a 15-pin D-female connector that can be easily accessed using a hinged door on the power supply front panel. It also provides a way to communicate with a PLC serial port, which can be used to connect a computer or handheld programmer device. The IC693PWR322 module has a peak surge current of 4 amps and a maximum of 100 milliseconds. The power device has a maximum crossing time of 10 milliseconds. The device has a holding time of 14 milliseconds. During installation, disconnect the module from the input power supply to avoid electrical damage.
